Tom, Andy's dad, has been the music director at the First United Methodist Church for the past 20 years. Today at church we had a ceremony honoring his service to the church. 
We had a great time, with many family members present, 2 full pews worth. What a special treat for Tom! Not only was the ceremony honoring him a surprise, but the fact Laura was in town was an even greater suprise. There was not a dry eye in the sanctuary, as Laura walked down the aisle and gave Tom a hug. 
He received a new baton, amongst other gifts that were given from members of the bell and chancel choirs, as well a members from the congregation.
